Company Background

The company was founded in 1982 and was probably the first company outside of the USA to manufacture a joystick for use with a "home computer". All manufacturing was undertaken from our own factory just north of Manchester, along with other in-house products, and various third party manufacturing for companies such as Ford, Jaguar, and other major manufacturers. Our factory is still in operation today, although not for the manufacture of gaming accessories. It is probably fair to say that we are probably one of this industry's oldest surviving distributors of gaming accessories.

We have evolved over the last 25 years to become one of the most experienced manufacturers in the UK supplying products to major retailers throughout the UK, and the rest of the world.

Still wholly owned by the founding family, we are a one stop solution provider to our customers for their video gaming accessories requirements; we work in close partnership with the buyers, and become the interface between market requirements and the actual task of bringing those needs to market. Supplying products with unique packaging, special product combinations / specifications, or a full blown private label program whilst remaining ultra competitive has become our daily meat.

Our depth of supply undertaking, ranges from supplying own brand product to an independent retail chains on a domestic basis, to also supplying a major global toy retailer with a full private label program, on an FOB China Basis.

Packaging and Private label programs

Powerplay has the ability and flexibility to produce packaging of any type allowing the customer complete freedom to decide how the final product will look. Products can be boxed, blistered or bespoke wll with standard euro hook, ensuring consistent retail standards.

In house design facilities in our Uk offices allows speedy, accurate and flexible design projects to be comlpeted with the minimum of fuss.

Powerplay have successfully evolved the smallest of products briefs into probably the largest private label / own brand program around the world for a famous multi national toy retailer. Project included product selection, pacakging design for consumer accesptance and planogram practability, creating and legally registering the brand trademark around the world and product testing to all relevant legal standards. followed by FOB and domestic shipments and deliveries to 4 contintents.

Private label programs have also been successfully implemented across a broad range of retailers from a 20 store independent chain, to the largest of multiples.
